Worth knowing
Supercat Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Two cabin catamarans are on record, the Supercat 38 Sport Custom and the Supercat Sliver 29, both listed since 2018 and to this day. No further details are available. Where you travel with such a boat is recorded in the contract as the cruising range.
Whether inland waters, coastal waters or journeys reaching further, the cruising range counts towards the premium alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power or sail area. For journeys across the border you automatically receive the international certificate of insurance in ten languages.
The third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, and the full hull cover complements it with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How do the waters affect the contract?
The cruising range is a premium factor and defines where the cover applies. If you change your waters permanently, report it and we will adjust the contract accordingly.
Can I insure a cabin catamaran online?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, taking out the policy online is possible. If the value is above that, we assess the individual case and prepare an individual quotation.

Series by Supercat Marine, build years and cover
Supercat 38 Sport Custom is a cabin catamaran from Supercat Marine, built since 2018.
Supercat Sliver 29 is a cabin catamaran from Supercat Marine, built since 2018.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
