Over more than 35 years, from 1970 to 2005, one motorboat range ran, the Awi 23. With a motorboat the engine power helps determine the premium, together with type of boat, value, year of build and cruising range. The name of the yard plays no part in it.
If the engine was replaced over the years, that belongs in the contract. Only in this way does the compensation in the event of a claim match the actual boat. In full hull cover the agreed value holds the agreed amount, and a deduction for depreciation (new for old) does not apply.
Covered are collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, in addition, through limited hull cover, fire, storm, lightning strike, theft and damage in winter storage. We insure regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners.
