A total of 21 model ranges are recorded under the name A Mostes, including motorboats and motor yachts such as the Pegaso 22 from 1997 and the Mostes 34 from 2013. Some of the ranges are still running today, while the Custom line ended in 2021. For these boats, engine power is one of the factors used to calculate the premium.
The premium depends on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand. Whether your boat dates from the nineties or comes from the current programme therefore only changes the key figures in the schedule. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of every contract.
Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are included.

Frequent questions
How does a more powerful engine affect the premium?
Engine power is one of the factors alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. If the power increases, the premium changes, while the brand name remains irrelevant for the calculation.
Does the cover also apply to an older Pegaso 22?
Yes. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Boats from the nineties also receive an agreed value, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies without an age limit.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
