A single motorboat is on record, the Albica 500 EL with a construction period from 1997 to 2003. Production therefore lies in the past, yet the boats are still being sailed. For such cases we agree an agreed value in full hull cover, which is paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
After more than two decades, the condition depends on the individual boat and not on the year of construction. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners; in the Premium tariff the agreed value applies with no age limit. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
Because only one model range is listed, what matters in the application are the details of the specific boat, that is, value, engine power and cruising range. The brand itself plays no part in the premium. Limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage.

What does the agreed value mean for a boat from the nineties?
The agreed value is the value settled in advance, which is paid in the event of a total loss with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). In the Premium tariff it applies with no age limit, so that a boat with the year of construction 1997 is covered as well.
Is the Albica 500 EL accepted even though its construction period has ended?
Yes. The fact that the construction period ended in 2003 is no obstacle. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and we cancel the old contract free of charge through the switching service.
