Aquatron; cover, cost and conditions
An agreed value pays off with boats such as the Aquatron models: the model ranges from the Aquatron 180 BR to the 2750 SC were built between 1989 and 2005. Instead of arguing about the depreciated value later, we set the insured value bindingly when the policy is taken out; in the event of a claim we pay with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
The brand's catalogue comprises eighteen model ranges, almost all of them motor boats, and with the Aquatron 2750 SC a motor yacht as well. The 2000 SC and 2350 SC models are already sailing in our own portfolio. For your policy this means: rating is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand.
Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage; full hull cover additionally pays for collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

My Aquatron sports boat dates from the 1990s. Can I still get full hull cover?
Yes. In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. The value is set as an agreed value and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), regardless of the year of construction.
Does the outboard of my Aquatron 2000 SC count towards the insured value?
Yes, it forms part of the sum insured, and full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard. Please state the engine power, it is a premium factor.

Registration

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
