Four ranges are recorded here: Clever Hunter and Clever Sloep from the years around the turn of the millennium, the sailing boat Clever 23 from 1992 to 1998 and the Clever 63 Anniversary Edition, which has been listed since 2023 and still today. Anyone taking over one of these boats can replace the existing contract through the switching service.
More than three decades lie between the sailing boat of 1992 and the motorboat of 2023, and production was interrupted in the meantime. For the policy that is of no consequence: NAMMERT insures regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and full hull cover in the Premium tariff has no age limit.
Older motorboats usually change owner privately. A dispute after buying a used boat or with a yard is covered by legal expenses cover for water sports, which NAMMERT offers as well. When you switch we cancel the previous contract free of charge, so that cover remains without a gap.

No, NAMMERT cancels the previous contract free of charge as part of the switching service. You do not have to deal with the cancellation yourself.
Is a motorboat classified differently from a sailing boat of the same brand?
Yes, because the premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area respectively and cruising range. The brand name does not enter into it.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
