Worth knowing
Fischer; cover, cost and conditions
The production periods run from 1966 to 1981: recorded are the motorboat Fisherman 500, the motor yachts Holiday 950 and Holiday 1050 and the Weekend 750. Production was a long time ago. So that the present condition is reflected in the contract, electronics and equipment belong in the schedule.
Whatever is in that schedule feeds into the agreed value, which is paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation, new for old.
The age of the boats is no obstacle to a contract. In the Premium tariff the agreed value applies with no age limit, and we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is retrofitted electronics also insured?
Equipment and electronics are recorded in the schedule to the contract and feed into the agreed value. In the event of a claim we pay up to that amount with no deduction for depreciation, new for old.
Is there an age limit for full hull cover?
In the Premium tariff the agreed value applies with no age limit. Boats from the 1960s and 1970s can therefore also be covered under full hull cover.

Series by Fischer, build years and cover
Fisherman 500 is a motorboat from Fischer, built from 1972 to 1981.
Holiday 950 is a motor yacht from Fischer, built from 1966 to 1973.
Holiday 1050 is a motor yacht from Fischer, built from 1966 to 1973.
Weekend 750 is a motorboat from Fischer, built from 1966 to 1973.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
