There are no model ranges for Jetwave in our records. Nothing can therefore be said about types of boat or production periods. That is no obstacle for insurance, because the premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range, never on the brand.

The basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. The limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage; the full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.

Small production runs and home-built boats can be insured as well, and we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. If a policy is already in place, the switching service cancels the old contract free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you can take out the policy online.

Frequent questions

What applies if no model ranges are on record for a brand?

The contract is based on the data of your boat, not on the manufacturer's name. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range are enough for a quotation.

Can home-built boats and small production runs be insured?

Yes. Small production runs and home-built boats can be covered, as can boats regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Only the data of the boat count for the rating.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.

Equipment

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Cruising range

The agreed cruising range is stated in the policy and can be extended at any time.

Weather
