Worth knowing
Jouet; cover, cost and conditions
A dispute after buying a used boat is not unusual, for instance about concealed defects. That is why, alongside boat insurance, we also offer legal expenses cover for water sports which covers precisely such disputes after the purchase of a used boat or with a shipyard. Anyone taking over a used Jouet can include this component straight away.
A Jouet 1120 Class is already sailing in our own portfolio. Cover applies regardless of build year, place of purchase and previous owners; the sum insured is arranged as an agreed value and, in the event of a total loss, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In this way the value of your Jouet is fixed bindingly from the outset.
For the premium, the type of boat, value, build year, engine power or sail area and cruising range count, never the brand. Cover can be taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, and we cancel an existing previous policy free of charge when you switch to us with your Jouet.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does the legal expenses cover help if there is a dispute after buying a used Jouet?
Yes, the legal expenses cover for water sports offered alongside covers disputes after the purchase of a used boat as well as disputes with a shipyard.
The Jouet brand is not widely known. Does that make taking out cover more complicated?
No. We insure small series and little known brands as a matter of routine; what is decisive is the data of the boat, not its name. Taking out cover online is open up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
