On motorboats the engine power is one of the values from which the premium results, alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. At Lekker Boats two ranges are recorded, the Damsko 750 since 2014 and the Damsko 1000 since 2015, both still in build today.
Because both ranges are running, this usually concerns boats of more recent production. Nevertheless full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays out with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out cover online.
In addition there are collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard under full hull cover. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and the protection applies during launching, during craning, in winter storage and in transit.

How is a new boat rated?
Through type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Even on current boats we agree an agreed value, so that compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation in the event of a claim.
Up to what sum can cover be taken out online?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros. If the value is higher, an individual assessment follows. We accompany the switch with the free cancellation of the previous contract.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
