MacGregor 26M: cover, cost and conditions
The MacGregor 26M sailing boat sails in our portfolio. What belongs to the boat does not end with the hull: for many owners the trailer and launching are part of everyday life, and both are covered. The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability free of charge from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
Cover exists during launching, during craning and on the transport route, and likewise in winter storage. Anyone who takes their boat out of the water several times a year therefore needs no separate contract for it. All that matters is that the trailer and the accessories appear in the schedule attached to the contract.
MacGregor is recorded with us with two further models. For the premium of a sailing boat, the sail area counts instead of the engine power, together with the value, the year of construction and the cruising range. Club regattas are included from Basis-Plus onwards.

Does the trailer need its own contract?
No, not for the MacGregor 26M either: it is included in the boat insurance free of charge.

Does cover also exist outside the season?
Yes, for the MacGregor 26M too:
in winter storage the limited hull cover applies in the event of fire, storm, lightning strike,
theft of the entire boat and for damage arising there.
