However different the boats are, the starting point is the same. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is the basis of every policy.
The hull covers build on it. Limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage, while full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, settled through an agreed value with no deduction for depreciation.

Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, the boat trailer is included at no extra premium and the switching service cancels an existing previous contract free of charge.

Frequent questions
What limit of indemnity does third-party liability have?
Depending on the tariff level it lies between 10 and 50 million euros. Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium are available, with club races included from Basis-Plus upwards.
Is a RIB classified differently from a motorboat?
The type of boat enters the premium, as do value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. The scope of cover itself remains the same in limited hull cover and full hull cover.

Licence

Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
