Four ranges with years of construction between 2018 and 2025 are recorded, the Mervista 480, 580, 680 and 860. Inflatable boats with an engine are used on inland waters just as much as along the coast. Which cruising range applies is recorded by us in the policy, because it is one of the premium factors.
Alongside the waters you use, the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the engine output count. If in future you go further out, we adjust the cruising range so that cover applies where you are travelling. For ports abroad, the international certificate of insurance is automatically enclosed in ten languages.
The most recent production periods run to 2025; the 480 was already discontinued in 2022. For acceptance that is immaterial, as we insure irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Theft of parts including the outboard is included in full hull cover.

Do I have to state the waters I use in advance?
Yes, the cruising range is one of the details given when taking out the policy and it influences the premium. It can be adjusted later if the waters you use change.
Does cover also apply on a cruise abroad?
Within the agreed cruising range, yes. For this you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages and can present it in the port.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
