Worth knowing
Spitfire; cover, cost and conditions
A single range is on file, the motor boat Spitfire with years of construction from 1970 to 1992. No further models are available. If such a boat has been insured for some time, it is worth looking into the existing policy, for example at age limits in the hull cover.
A switch is possible with no effort of your own, because NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge. In the Premium tariff, full hull cover applies with no age limit and with an agreed value, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of this.
The premium follows the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never the brand. Third-party liability remains the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover. The trailer is included at no extra premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is switching worthwhile for a boat more than thirty years old?
In the Premium tariff, full hull cover applies with no age limit and with an agreed value. NAMMERT cancels the previous policy for you free of charge as part of the switching service.
Which documents do I need for the switch?
The key details of the boat are sufficient: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range. With these we draw up the policy and take over the cancellation with the previous insurer.

Series by Spitfire, build years and cover
Spitfire is a motorboat from Spitfire, built from 1970 to 1992.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
