Sportis; cover, cost and conditions

For an inflatable boat too, cover begins with third-party liability: a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels forms the basis of every contract. Sportis has been building its inflatable boats since 1997 and continues to this day, in 38 model ranges from the Idea 2000 to the MC 6800; the same basis applies to each of them.

The MC 4900 and MC 5600 models are already sailing in our own portfolio. The programme comprises inflatable boats with and without an engine; alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range, engine power is a premium factor and therefore belongs in the application in full, so that the rating is correct.

Beyond third-party liability, full hull cover protects against collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, while limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. A trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover also applies on the transport route.

Is third-party liability enough for my Sportis inflatable boat with an outboard?

Third-party liability covers damage to third parties and is the basis of every contract. Your own outboard is only protected by full hull cover, which comprises theft of parts including the outboard.

My Sportis MC 5600 runs without a permanently fitted engine. What counts for the premium then?

Type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range; if an engine is used, its power is added. The make itself never influences the premium.
