Worth knowing
Time-Out; cover, cost and conditions
The Racer 2130 is the only recorded range, a cabin catamaran built from 1997 to 2005. No details on further model ranges are available. Like other boats, multihulls spend part of the year ashore, and there the cover applies just as it does on the water.
The cover applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route, with no time window and no night clause in hull cover. Limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and expressly also damage in winter storage.
For the premium on a cabin catamaran, the type of boat, the value, the year of build, the engine power or sail area and the cruising range count. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts and pays compensation according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, new for old.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is a cabin catamaran covered in winter storage?
Yes. Damage in winter storage falls under limited hull cover, and the cover also applies during craning, during launching and on the transport route, with no time window in hull cover.
How is the premium for the Racer 2130 determined?
From the type of boat, the value, the year of build, the engine power or sail area and the cruising range. The brand does not enter into the calculation, and the year of build is no ground for exclusion.

Series by Time-Out, build years and cover
Racer 2130 is a cabin catamaran from Time-Out, built from 1997 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
