Trimax; cover, cost and conditions
One model range is recorded, the Trimax 1050 cabin catamaran with years of construction from 1997 to 2005. Further model ranges are not available. With us a catamaran is insured like any other boat, including during the time ashore. The basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
Damage in winter storage is part of limited hull cover, as are fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. During craning, during launching and while in transit cover likewise exists.
As production ended in 2005, the catamaran comes second hand today. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, agree an agreed value and settle with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tier with no age limit.

Frequent questions
How is the catamaran protected ashore?
Cover applies in winter storage as well as during craning, launching and while in transit. Damage from storm or fire falls under limited hull cover.
Does a multihull need a tier of its own?
No. The same Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tiers apply. The premium arises from the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range.

Licence

Series by Trimax, build years and cover
Trimax 1050 is a cabin catamaran from Trimax, built from 1997 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
