Worth knowing
VTS Boats; cover, cost and conditions
For this brand we have no model ranges on file; neither production periods nor types of boat are recorded. A contract still comes about, because we assess the boat and not the yard. Small series and self-built boats are just as insurable at NAMMERT as production boats.
What is needed is type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and the cruising range. The premium arises from these details. On top of that sits third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium.
In the full hull version, hull cover comprises collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation. A boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route are included.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is it enough if only the details of the boat are known?
Yes. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range are sufficient. Details about the yard are of no significance for the premium.
Can home-built boats be covered as well?
Small series and self-built boats are insurable. The value is arranged as an agreed value, so that indemnity in the event of a claim is paid with no deduction for depreciation.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
