Xquisite Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
One model range is documented: the X 5 Sail, a cabin catamaran that has been built since 2012 to the present day. The brand is established internationally, yet for the insurance only the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range count, not the origin and not the name of the yard.
The cruising range is set in the contract and acts directly on the premium, whether an inland area or the coast. Anyone who goes further out states this when taking out the policy. We produce the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, so that it can be presented abroad.
On a multihull of this kind, taking out the policy online ends at a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, above that we examine the individual case. Full hull cover with an agreed value, limited hull cover and third-party liability with 10 to 50 million euros can be combined in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How is the cruising range set for a catamaran?
When taking out the policy you state where the boat is moved, for example an inland area or the coast. Together with value, year of construction and sail area, the premium arises from this, and the cover then applies there.
What applies to a boat with a high sum insured?
Up to 2.5 million euros taking out the policy online is possible. If the amount is above that, we examine the individual case and agree the cover individually, including full hull cover with an agreed value.

Series by Xquisite Yachts, build years and cover
X 5 Sail is a cabin catamaran from Xquisite Yachts, built since 2012.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
