A-3 Scope of the insurance, Watercraft Hull Insurance, Basis Plus

A-3.1 Cover exists for damage to, destruction of, loss of or total loss of the craft including its co-insured parts through the following events:
A-3.1.1 Accident of the craft, which includes in particular stranding, capsizing, running aground, collision with fixed and/or floating objects, breaking and bending of masts, spars and booms, of standing and running rigging, tearing of sails, and sinking as a consequence.
A-3.1.2 Natural forces such as storm and hail, lightning strike and earthquake.
A-3.1.3 Fire and explosion. Fire means a fire with flames that arose without a hearth intended for it, or left such a hearth, and is able to spread under its own power. Explosion is a suddenly occurring release of force based on the tendency of gases or vapours to expand.
A-3.1.4 Insured are theft of the entire craft, burglary, theft of parts connected to the craft, and wilful or malicious acts by persons who are in no way entitled to use the craft. Persons instructed by the policyholder to look after the craft (a repairer) are in particular to be regarded as entitled.
A-3.2 Co-insured are inspection costs up to a maximum of 500 euros arising as a result of a grounding notified to us.
