Where the two differ, the German text decides:
Cover begins at the time stated in the policy schedule. The condition for cover is that you pay the first or single premium without delay after the expiry of 14 days from receipt of the policy schedule (see 8.4.1). An agreed waiting period remains unaffected (that means: it applies in any event).
