Where the two differ, the German text decides:
A-2.1.1.3 Asserting the permanent impairment benefit. You must assert the permanent impairment with us within 24 months of the accident. Asserting means: you inform us that you assume a permanent impairment. If you miss this deadline, the claim to the permanent impairment benefit is excluded. Only in particular exceptional cases can missing the deadline be excused. Example: you suffered serious head injuries in the accident and were therefore unable to contact us.
