Safety equipment, engine, weather and the crew briefing on two sheets, twelve minutes before you cast off. Twenty-six points to tick off, plus the boat, the trip and the sea area to write in. Ticked off, the sheet shows the care you took when a claim is made.

Why this sheet counts

Safety requirements not met and checks left undone are the commonest reason for a reduced payment, the keyword being gross negligence. From Basis-Plus we waive that objection up to 25 %, in Premium up to 50 % of the sum insured. A departure check that has been ticked off shows in a dispute that you took care.
