The Viper and Auster ranges are console boats for inland waters and coastal areas, mostly used for fishing and for family outings. On console boats without a cabin an eye on the weather counts double: at Bft 4 it becomes unpleasant, and offshore wind is the main risk.
On the insurance side two points matter: the outboard with its serial number in the contract, and the equipment in the value. A fish finder, rod holders and batteries belong there if they are permanently installed.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
