Rajo builds small motor boats that mostly operate on inland waters with limited engine power. On many lakes there are power limits or a requirement for electric propulsion, and anyone who breaks them does not only have a regulatory problem: if the boat is used outside the permitted conditions, the question of due care arises in the event of a claim.
So check the rules of the water area before you buy, not afterwards. For the insurance the engine output is the basis for calculating the premium, for the water area it is a condition of admission. The two belong together, and both change as soon as a more powerful engine is fitted.
