Terms of entry: NAMMERT Ranking

Version 1.1 As of 12 September 2026 2027 season Organiser: NAMMERT Assekuradeur GmbH

Section 1 Organiser

The NAMMERT Ranking is run by NAMMERT Assekuradeur GmbH, Karl-Marx-Straße 4, 15711 Königs Wusterhausen, Germany (“NAMMERT”). It has no connection with Instagram, TikTok or any other platform, nor with the organisers of the events that count. Any claims in connection with the ranking must be made against NAMMERT alone.

Section 2 What the ranking is

The NAMMERT Ranking scores water sports athletes for proven participation in water sports events while visibly wearing the NAMMERT logo and their start number, and for publishing a post about it.

It does not score sporting performance. Position, time, speed, jumps or distance covered are not assessed and earn no points.

The 2027 season runs from 1 April 2027 to 31 October 2027. Events held within that period count.

Section 3 Who may take part

Individuals who are at least 18 years old when they sign up and live in Germany, Austria or Spain may take part.

An insurance policy with NAMMERT is not required. Taking part is free and is not tied to taking out a policy, asking for a quote or receiving advice.

Employees of NAMMERT and its affiliated companies and their relatives are excluded. Each person may hold one start number. Signing up more than once leads to the exclusion of every start number concerned.

Section 4 Sign-up, start number and logo

Sign-up is through the form at nammert.com/en/ranking.php. We collect name, email address, year of birth, country of residence, category and the name to be shown in the ranking, and optionally discipline, club and social media accounts.

NAMMERT sends the start number by email. Participants print the logo with their start number themselves using the print sheet on the website. There is no entitlement to stickers being posted.

The following applies to the logo:

  • It may not be altered.
  • It may only be worn where the organiser permits third-party logos.
  • It may not suggest that NAMMERT sponsors or organises the event.
  • It may not be shown in connection with breaches of the law or of navigation or nature conservation rules.

NAMMERT may prohibit use of the logo at any time. Use outside the ranking is not permitted.

Section 5 Events that count

An event counts if it is publicly advertised by a third party, has an organiser and keeps an entry, start or results list, for example a regatta, a race, a tournament or a meet. Private outings and events organised by the participant do not count.

The organiser’s rules take precedence over these terms. Anyone breaching them, in particular safety rules or a ban on third-party advertising, is not scored for that event.

Section 6 Submissions and proof

An event is submitted through the form at nammert.com/en/ranking-entry.php no later than 30 days after it ends. Files not available as a link go to cup@nammert.com.

A submission contains:

  • a photo from the day of the event showing logo and start number,
  • proof of participation, usually a link to the entry or results list,
  • optionally, a link to a post under section 8,
  • for a refund under section 9, proof of the entry fee the participant paid themselves.

By submitting, the participant confirms that they took the photo or are entitled to use it, that no third-party rights are affected, that recognisable people have agreed, and that the photo was not generated by artificial intelligence or altered in what it shows.

NAMMERT checks every submission by hand and may ask for further proof. NAMMERT decides whether a submission is scored.

Section 7 Points and ranks

For each checked submission:

ForPoints
Taking part in an event that counts, with logo and start number10
Post under section 8 about that event, one at most+3
Post with at least 1,000 views+2
Post with at least 10,000 views, instead of the previous row+5

The publicly displayed number of views on the day of checking counts, at most 30 days after the event. Bought or otherwise artificial reach leads to exclusion.

Depending on the number of events scored, participants reach a rank: Deckhand from one, Bosun from three, Helmsman from six and Skipper from ten. Ranks are a recognition and create no entitlement.

Section 8 Social media posts

A post only counts if it is public, shows the logo and start number, names @nammert and the start number, and is clearly labelled as advertising at the start, for example with “Ad” or “Advertising”.

Labelling is mandatory because the post earns the participant points and possibly a refund. Participants are responsible for complying with labelling rules and with the rules of the platform.

Posting is voluntary. Taking part in an event is scored without a post.

Section 9 Entry fee refunds

For the 2027 season NAMMERT provides a total of €10,000 for refunding entry fees (the pot).

The entry fee demonstrably paid for a scored event is refunded, up to €100 per event and up to €400 per participant over the season.

Each entry fee is refunded only once, even if several participants start on it, for example as the crew of one boat, and only to the participant who demonstrably paid it. Every participant with their own start number is still scored under section 7.

Refunds are made in the order that complete submissions have been checked, until the pot is exhausted. After that there is no further entitlement to a refund, and scoring under section 7 continues. The state of the pot is published on the website.

Payment is made in money to an account named by the participant, collected once a month. NAMMERT asks for bank details by email. There is no offsetting against insurance premiums, no premium credit, no discount and no other benefit in any insurance relationship. Any taxes or charges are borne by the recipient.

Section 10 Season tables and prizes

Scoring is by category: sailing, jet ski and fun sports, motorboats and powerboats, angling, and other water sports. A participant counts as active with at least 3 scored events. Categories with fewer than 10 active participants are combined into the open class at the end of the season.

Order is by points. If points are tied, the higher number of scored events decides, then the earlier sign-up.

The top three in each table with at least 10 active participants receive a trophy and kit as a prize in kind. Cash alternatives are excluded. NAMMERT asks winners for a postal address by email.

Section 11 Rights of use

Participants remain the authors of their photos. By submitting, they grant NAMMERT a simple right, unrestricted in place and time, to show the photos and linked posts on NAMMERT’s websites and social media channels, in print, in presentations and at trade fairs, credited with the name from the ranking where the format allows. Cropping and format adjustments are permitted.

Passing photos to third parties for their own advertising, selling them and using them in paid advertising are excluded, and the latter requires a separate agreement. Participants may revoke this grant for the future. NAMMERT then removes the photos from its own digital channels within 30 days.

Section 12 Safety and exclusion

NAMMERT sets no tasks and awards no points that encourage risky behaviour. Submissions showing breaches of navigation, nature conservation or safety rules, missing safety equipment, or a photo taken by the person in charge of a craft while under way are not scored.

Participants may be excluded for false proof, bought reach, passing on their start number or using the logo contrary to section 4. Refunds already paid may then be reclaimed.

A submission in itself is not a breach of any policy obligation and is not used to assess claims. Taking part has no effect on existing or future insurance contracts.

Section 13 Data protection

NAMMERT is the controller. Data from sign-ups and submissions is processed to run the ranking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and deleted after the end of the season once all refunds and prizes have been handled, unless statutory retention periods apply.

The public ranking shows: start number, chosen name, category, country of residence, optionally the club, number of scored events, points and rank. Full name, email address, year of birth and bank details are never published.

Information about boat insurance is only sent to those who separately agreed to it when signing up. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Otherwise the privacy policy at nammert.com/datenschutz.php applies (in German).

Section 14 Changes and cancellation

NAMMERT may change, suspend or end the ranking for good reason, in particular in cases of manipulation or where it can no longer be run properly for legal reasons. Refunds already checked are not affected.

Section 15 Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the participant’s country of residence remain unaffected. If any provision is invalid, the rest remain valid. There is no entitlement to any particular score. The German version of these terms is binding.
