AMT builds compact GRP boats between 5 and 7 metres in Finland, bowriders, console boats and small daycruisers for inland lakes and the coast. The boats are kept simple and are designed for outboards of medium power. For the premium calculation the engine output is the lever: the third-party liability premium follows the kW bands, and the step between the bands is considerable. State the actual output, not the maximum shown on the type plate.
With boats of this size the trailer is regularly underestimated. It has a value of its own, often 2,000 to 5,000 euros, but it is not stated and is then not part of the sum insured in the event of theft or an accident. The calculator has a separate field for this in the accessories group; as an item the trailer costs little and should be secured against theft with a wheel clamp.

The actual one. The third-party liability premium follows the kW bands of the engine that is fitted; a figure that is too high costs premium, a figure that is too low puts the cover at risk.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
