Eight AM Plaisance models are on record, built since 2005: seven sailing trimarans and one sailing catamaran. All carry the Tricat name, namely the 20, 22, 23.5, 25 and 30 as well as the 6.90, the 8.50 and the L'Access 6. Lengths run from 5.8 to 9.2 metres.
Construction matters when insuring an AM Plaisance boat. Trimarans of this size are moved by trailer, so road transport is an important element and can be added to the hull cover. On the smaller models such as the L'Access 6 liability forms the basis. On the larger Tricat 25 and 30 value and cruising area belong in the application in exact form, because they can also be used for longer passages.

Licence

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
On a trimaran the floats and their beams are the weak point, on folding models the mechanism as well.
