Worth knowing
Cobramold; cover, cost and conditions
Outboards are a frequent target for thieves, especially when the boat lies unattended at the jetty or in storage. Our full hull cover expressly includes theft of parts including the outboard, along with collision, grounding and vandalism. For Cobramold owners this means the propulsion is part of the protection as well.
Boats from Cobramold are already running in our own portfolio, specifically the Leisure 17 and Leisure 23 SL models. They are insured like any other boat: the premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range, never on the name of the yard.
If you switch to us with an existing contract, we cancel the old policy free of charge. Limited hull cover protects against fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage; the international certificate of insurance in ten languages is automatically enclosed with every contract.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the outboard of my Leisure 17 insured against theft?
Yes, full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard.
Cobramold means nothing to many dealers today. Does that make cover harder to arrange?
No. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, small series included. The Leisure 17 and Leisure 23 SL models are already insured in our portfolio.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
