A dispute after buying a used boat is annoying and expensive. A K Maxxi XXL by Juharos Imre is already sailing in our own portfolio, and with small brands in particular it is worth adding legal expenses cover for water sports to the contract: it covers disputes after the purchase of a used boat and with a boatyard.

Small brands are everyday business for us: we insure small production runs and home-built boats and do not make the cover dependent on how well known the name on the hull is. The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand.

The place of purchase and previous owners also play no part in acceptance. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis, and full hull cover with an agreed value additionally secures the value of the boat. In this way a boat taken over second hand can be insured without obstacles.
