Worth knowing
Voyage Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Voyage Yachts appears in our records with ten sailing catamarans: from the Voyage 440 through the 480, 520 and 580 to the Voyage 590 and 600, plus the older Mayotte 500 and Norseman 430 models. Production runs since 1997, with lengths from 13.1 to 18.2 metres.
Catamarans of this size often sail far afield, so the cruising area in the policy must match the actual use. An accurately stated insured value matters just as much; for the older models from the late 1990s, an agreed fixed value beats a depreciated market value.
NAMMERT insures Voyage catamarans regardless of build year and place of purchase. You can calculate the premium in the online calculator in 5 minutes.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does NAMMERT insure a Voyage 480?
Yes. The 15.1 metre Voyage 480 was built from 2012 to 2022 and can be insured with NAMMERT for liability and hull cover.
Does NAMMERT insure older Voyage catamarans such as the Norseman 430?
Yes. The Norseman 430 from the build years 1997 to 2006 can be insured; for this age, hull cover with an agreed fixed value is recommended.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
