Nautique of Orlando builds wakeboard and water ski boats with inboard drive; the Super Air range creates a deliberately shaped wave via ballast tanks, and the Ski Nautique is designed for a smooth lane for the slalom. For insurance the purpose of the boat is decisive: these boats pull people, and that is a liability risk of its own kind.
The towed water sports participant is the point many owners overlook. If a wakeboarder or water skier is injured behind the boat, that is a liability case towards a person you took along yourself. Our boat third-party liability insurance covers personal injury, property damage and financial loss with ten to fifty million euros; the accident cover additionally covers the persons on board and while being towed, provided they are stated in the application. On a wake boat this element is not an extra.
For the hull insurance, the ballast system and the drive train are the items that need attention. Ballast tanks and pumps work permanently with water inside the hull, and a defective valve means water ingress. Water ingress is covered in so far as it is not due to neglected maintenance.
