Aquamar builds RIBs for coastal waters that in Germany usually sit on a trailer and are used on holiday. For this kind of use, the cruising range is the key point: anyone taking the boat to Croatia or Italy needs that area in the policy and the international certificate of insurance on board.
The second point is securing the engine. RIB engines are stolen deliberately, often together with the boat from the trailer. A coupling lock, a wheel clamp and a tracker with its own power supply are effective, and the tracker earns a ten percent discount on the hull insurance.
