Boats of the types Riomar 470, 570 and 580 are insured with us under this brand. There are no recorded model ranges for it, and that makes no difference to the cover: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range determine the premium, while the brand itself plays no part.

More important than the brand name is the list of the equipment insured along with the boat. Electronics and permanently fitted items of equipment are included in the agreed amount and therefore in the agreed value. In the event of a claim, compensation is paid up to this agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Theft of parts including the outboard is covered in the full hull cover, along with collision, grounding and vandalism. The limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be concluded online.

Frequent questions

Does permanently installed electronic equipment belong in the sum insured?

Equipment and electronics are included in the agreed amount, which is stated in the contract as the agreed value. If individual items of it are stolen, theft of parts applies in the full hull cover.

What should I do if there are no yard documents for the boat?

For the application the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and the cruising range are enough. Missing documents are no obstacle, and we insure regardless of place of purchase and previous owners.
