Viper belongs to the boat class. For the insurance the builder is never a reason to decline: what decides is the type of boat, its year, its value, its engine output and the waters you sail, the five figures you enter in the online calculator.
Which cover suits a Viper? Liability is the foundation and settles injury, property and financial damage to third parties with €10 m to €50 m. Hull cover protects your own boat: partial cover for fire, storm, lightning, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage; full cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts, the outboard included.

On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
