Amels builds the Limited Editions in Vlissingen within the Damen group, superyachts between 55 and 80 metres whose hull and superstructure are prefabricated while the interior is created individually. This method of construction shortens the delivery time without giving up the one-off character.
For insurance purposes, yachts of this class are individual cases: crew liability, flag state, charter operation and deductible structure are negotiated individually, and the risk is spread across several carriers. The calculator on this page underwrites up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros. What has to be considered when a large yacht is used for charter?
Charter operation must be expressly stated in the contract, with its own liability arrangement for guests and crew. Without this agreement there is no cover during charter use.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
