Grand Banks yachts are displacement and semi displacement boats with a long working life; many are still cruising after forty years. How is the value of a 1985 Grand Banks set?
Through an agreed fixed value. A survey records condition, refit and equipment, and the sum insured follows from it. The value is then settled in advance and is not reopened after a loss.
