Worth knowing
mantra Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
mantra Yachts is listed with seven models between 6 and 10.7 metres. The SiX family with Mantra SiX, SiX CR and SiXfor4 shapes the range, joined by the Mantra 23, Mantra 7000, Mantra 31 and the Palm Cat power catamaran. Production has been running since 1999, and the SiX models are still current.
The compact lengths from 6 metres make many Mantra boats trailerable. Liability is the base, and land transport should be included. For the Palm Cat at 10.7 metres, precise details on value and cruising area matter instead, as it is used differently from the small sailboats.
NAMMERT insures mantra Yachts boats regardless of year of build and place of purchase. The premium is calculated in the online calculator in about 5 minutes.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does NAMMERT insure a Mantra SiX?
Yes, the Mantra SiX at just under 6 metres can be insured, as can the SiX CR and SiXfor4 versions. For trailer use, including land transport is recommended.
Can the Mantra Palm Cat be insured as well?
Yes, the power catamaran at 10.7 metres from build years 2012 to 2019 is accepted. Year of build, value, engines and cruising area are all that is needed for the application.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
