Worth knowing
Mazury Jachty; cover, cost and conditions
Boats built in Masuria are made for shallow inland waters: keel-centreboard hulls, little draught, a mast that can be lowered. Precisely this profile determines the damage that occurs. Grounding happens frequently and is usually harmless, whereas a broken mast while lowering and raising is expensive and is covered under the full hull cover.
If you sail on the Masurian Lakes and keep your boat there, you need Poland as the cruising range in the policy. We underwrite European inland waters without a surcharge, the entry simply has to be correct. For the delivery trip on the trailer, transport is included with us.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the mast insured while being lowered?

Does the policy also apply in Poland?

Series by Mazury, with value and cover
Mazury 600 / 650 is a sailing boat from Mazury (Poland), built from 1990 to 2015, and today changes hands at between €7,000 and €26,000.
Mazury 800 / 900 is a sailing boat from Mazury (Poland), built since 2000, and today changes hands at between €18,000 and €62,000.
Mazury 485 K is a sailing boat from Mazury (Poland), built from 1990 to 2015, and today changes hands at between €5,000 and €16,000.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
