Anyone taking over an 8m One Design today is buying from a production run that lay between 2000 and 2009. What counts for insurance cover is then not the purchase price but the amount an equivalent yacht costs today. For a sailing yacht the premium is based on sail area, value, year of construction and cruising range, not on the name of the yard. Whether a boat comes from a large or a small series makes no difference to that. Cover also applies ashore, in winter storage, during craning and launching and on the transport route.
Third-party liability forms the basis and is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded across the tariff levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Club races are included from Basis-Plus, and you state races with scoring status when taking out the policy so that they are recorded in the contract.

How is the value of an 8m One Design recorded in the contract?
By means of an agreed value. The agreed amount is stated in the contract and is replaced in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), under the Premium tariff without an age limit for the boat.
