Three model ranges are recorded for ABV: the Van de Stadt 40, the Calypso 55 and the H 14000 Aesthetic Line. The sailing yachts were built between 1965 and 2002 and are no longer in production. What counts for insurance cover is the condition of the individual boat, because we insure regardless of the year of build, the place of purchase and previous owners.
Anyone taking over one of these yachts second-hand should base the sum insured on the replacement value. NAMMERT full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. In this way the agreed value remains the basis of the indemnity even on an older yacht.
Third-party liability forms the basis of every contract, with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tiers. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with scoring status are to be declared when the contract is taken out. That way a Van de Stadt 40 is also covered on the race course.

How is an older ABV yacht valued under full hull cover?
The decisive figure is the agreed value set when the contract is taken out. We indemnify on that basis in the event of a claim, with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff even with no age limit on the boat.
Does cover for a Calypso 55 also apply outside the season?
Yes. Limited hull cover and full hull cover apply in winter storage as well as during craning, launching and transport. There is no time window and no night clause in hull cover.
