Worth knowing
Begre; cover, cost and conditions
The only recorded range is a Folkeboot, built from 1997 to 2006. No further models are on file. The basis of every policy with us is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on the third-party liability. Limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, and full hull cover additionally collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. Compensation is paid on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A sailing boat from this period of construction is a second-hand boat with a history of its own today. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners play no part in acceptance. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and you state races with scoring status when you take out the policy.

Series by Begre, build years and cover
Folkeboot is a sailing yacht from Begre, built from 1997 to 2006.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
