Bought new does not mean valued as new for ever. The agreed value holds the agreed sum throughout the term of the policy, and in the event of a claim the deduction for depreciation does not apply, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. The Iguana 29 Sport Classic has been built since 2022 and up to the present day.
A single documented model range says nothing about insurability. We accept small series and self-built boats just as we accept production boats, regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis. Full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage.

Frequent questions
What does agreed value mean in the event of a claim?
The value agreed in the policy is compensated with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit, so that older boats too are settled according to the agreed sum.
Does the cover also apply outside the season?
Yes. Winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route are included. Hull cover has neither a time window nor a night clause.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Iguana 29 Sport Classic is a motor yacht from Iguana Yachts, built since 2022.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
