From 1988 to 2000 the 11 Metre One-Design sailing yacht was built, the only model range on record. If such a boat is sailed in races, race cover is the decisive question. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards, and races with ranking status you declare when taking out the policy.
On sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is determined. Added to this are the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis at every level.
Years of construction up to 2000 mean used boats. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit, and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. In winter storage and during craning the cover continues to apply.

Are races with this sailing yacht included?
Club races from Basis-Plus upwards. Declare races with ranking status when taking out the policy so that they are in the contract and the hull cover applies there too.
Is a grounding while under way indemnified?
Full hull cover covers grounding as well as collision, vandalism and theft of parts. Indemnification is made up to the agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
