At the end of the season it goes ashore, in spring back into the water. At J Boats one range is recorded, the J/9 sailing boat, which has been built since 2018 to this day. Winter storage, craning, launching and the road are included with us, and damage in winter storage is already carried by the limited hull cover.
Since production continues, both new boats and young used boats come into consideration. In both cases we agree an agreed value and pay with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are covered in the full hull cover.
As a sailing boat the J/9 is classified by sail area and not by engine output, plus the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards; races with ranking status you state when taking out the policy. The brand itself never enters the premium.

Frequent questions
Is damage during winter storage covered?
Yes, it belongs to the limited hull cover, as do fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. Craning and launching are included as well.
How is a new boat valued?
Through the agreed value, which records the value agreed upon in the contract. In the event of a claim this amount is paid with no deduction for depreciation, with no dispute about the current market value.
