With James & Caddy two motor yacht ranges are recorded, the Weymouth 42 and the Weymouth 48, built between 1972 and 1979. Production lies a long way back. For boats of this age the agreed value settles the value in advance and not only in the event of a claim, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, so a model from the seventies is no special case. Full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
The premium follows type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never the brand. If you switch to us, we cancel the previous policy free of charge for you.

Frequent questions
Is there an age limit for full hull cover?
In the Premium tariff the age limit does not apply, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). A Weymouth from the seventies can therefore also be covered at the arranged value.
What happens in the case of a grounding?
Grounding is part of full hull cover, as are collision, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
