Two sailing boats are listed, the JF DIDI 26 and the JF DIDI 30, both under construction since 2019 and to this day. There is cover for boats from small-scale production as well, because small series and home-built boats can be insured with us. For the contract, your details on the boat, the value and the cruising range are sufficient.
Because production is running, you will find young units; older years of construction do not yet exist here. What counts for the premium is the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, never the brand. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of the contract.
The cover comprises more than the voyage, because winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route are included, and a boat trailer is covered at no additional premium. Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and pays compensation according to the agreed value.

Can boats from small-scale production be insured?
Yes. We accept small series and home-built boats. What is decisive is the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, not the number of units built.
From when does the cover apply after the purchase?
As soon as the contract is in place. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, above that we examine the individual case. We cancel a previous contract free of charge.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
