Worth knowing
Lea-Trading; cover, cost and conditions
Under Lea-Trading one motor yacht is recorded, the Baltic 49 with a build period from 1972 to 1979. For such boats a large part of the year takes place ashore. Our cover therefore also applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching, without your needing a second contract for it.
There the limited hull cover takes on fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage arising during storage. With the full hull cover, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are added, as are collision and grounding.
For the indemnity the agreed value applies with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff without an age limit. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is a separate contract needed for the time ashore?
No, the cover applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching as well as in transit. You do not have to take out separate cover for that.
Who bears storm damage during storage?
Storm damage belongs to the limited hull cover, as do fire, lightning strike and further damage in winter storage. Vandalism and theft of parts are covered through the full hull cover.

Series by Lea-Trading, build years and cover
Baltic 49 is a motor yacht from Lea-Trading, built from 1972 to 1979.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
