Three sailing yacht ranges are recorded: Konsul, Robinson and the GFK-M.-Segler 15,40, with years of construction between 1965 and 1983. With sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of the engine power. Alongside the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range, it is one of the factors from which the premium is derived.
The brand itself never enters the calculation. Nor does it matter how often a yacht has changed owner: we insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. For disputes after buying a used boat there is the legal expenses cover for water sports.
Since all three ranges went out of production long ago, the agreed value is the heart of the full hull cover. It is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level upwards, and races with ranking status are declared when you take out the policy.

Why does the sail area count for sailing yachts?
Because it takes the place of the engine power. Together with the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range it gives the premium. The name of the shipyard has no influence here.
What applies if there have been several previous owners?
The number of previous owners changes nothing. NAMMERT insures regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and the full hull cover pays compensation according to the agreed value.
