Challenger and Explorer are the names of the two recorded sailing boat ranges, both built since 2018 and to this day. A manageable programme is no obstacle: small series and home-built boats are insurable, and the premium is based on the boat, not on the brand.
With sailing boats the sail area takes the place of the engine power, joined by the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus onwards, and races with ranking status you state when taking out the policy. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover applies during craning, during launching, on the road and in winter storage. Damage in winter storage is borne by limited hull cover.

Yes, we include small series and home-built boats. What is decisive is the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, not the size of the build programme.
What applies to a boat from current production?
A new boat is also insured with an agreed value. Indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
